BAR-97 Smog Testing & Repairs for 1976–1999 Vehicles
Have an older vehicle that needs a smog check? We can help!
Unlike most newer vehicles, which undergo an OBD-based emissions inspection, many 1976–1999 model-year vehicles require BAR-97 emissions testing, which involves specialized equipment and additional testing procedures.
At All Car Specialists, we have the specialized diagnostic equipment and experienced technicians needed to inspect, diagnose, and repair older vehicles.
Whether you drive a classic car, an older daily driver, or a specialty vehicle, our team understands the unique challenges of maintaining aging emissions systems.
Our Smog Check & Repair Services Include:
STAR Smog Inspections – State-required emissions testing and certification.
BAR-97 Smog Testing – Specialized emissions inspections for applicable 1976–1999 vehicles.
Smog Check Repairs – Professional diagnostics and repairs for vehicles that fail their smog inspection.
Classic & Older Vehicle Smog Services – Experienced technicians familiar with older emissions systems and hard-to-diagnose concerns.
Comprehensive Vehicle Coverage – Smog checks for economy and luxury vehicles, SUVs, vans, trucks, diesels, hybrids, sports cars, motorhomes, and light- to medium-duty commercial vehicles, where applicable.
Failed Your Smog Check? We Can Help!
A failed smog inspection doesn't always mean an expensive repair. Our skilled technicians use professional diagnostic equipment and years of automotive experience to identify the underlying cause of emissions failures.
Rather than simply replacing parts, we perform thorough diagnostics to determine the proper repair and help get your vehicle back into compliance with California emissions standards.
