All Car Specialists - San Gabriel Auto Repair - Custom Trike Although this motorcycle doesn`t fall into a car category, it does have a Volkswagen 1600cc motor in it. This trike is almost 30 years old but you can`t tell because of how well the owner keeps it up this trike. The trike is a 1972 VW special construction with a new 1600cc VW motor. The new VW block has dual carbs, dual pipes and it has lots of chrome. It was originally built by John Powers in 1972. The owner has had it 27 years. While owning it he replaced the rug, floor boards, and all the electrical switches. A big change came when he replaced the VW motor and transmission to and updated VW motor. This trike also has a custom front wheel and a custom old style rear rims. The trike was also built with wood floorboard, dash, and rear spoiler. Under the wing it has a compartment to store things while driving which is always convienient. The customer has been coming to All Car Specialists since the grand opening in 1983. He mentioned the reason he comes to All Car is because the people are very knowledgeable, always curious and always ready to help!
