Toyota Recalls You have probably heard by now that Toyota is recalling many of their popular vehicles. 3.8 million vehicles is closer to the exact amount of vehicles that will be recalled. The problem is that the gas pedals are sticking in an accelerated position which can cause a crash. The pedals are not directly connected to engine but by way of electronics called drive by wire. The problem is where they are connected and that the gas pedal is sticking down. After the physical part of the pedal is fixed, they will then “flash” the computer updating it to the newest version of the computer program. The actual vehicles that are affected by the recall are 2009-2010 RAV4, 2009-2010 Corolla, 2009-2010 Matrix, 2005-2010 Avalon, 2007-2010 Camry, 2010 Highlander, 2008-2010 Sequoia, 2007-2010 Tundra, 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe.
